Many companies are constantly planning additional meetings to solve problems that could actually be addressed directly in existing meetings.
❗ What happens as a result?
🔭 My observation from projects:
I always analyze exactly which parallel meetings exist. I call them “parallel universes ” – parallel universes in which problems, decisions and solutions remain hidden.
💡 These meetings seem like small, self-contained worlds whose content does not flow back into the overall system.
🚨 Why is that dangerous?
👉 They drain energy instead of bundling it.
👉 Results remain isolated and do not end up in the management control system.
👉 Responsibilities become blurred. In the end, it remains unclear whether a problem has been solved sustainably.
A lean project is launched to make a process more stable and faster. Instead of showing progress and results in the regular management meeting, a separate project meeting is introduced.
What happens?
1️⃣ The issue disappears from the operational focus.
➡️ It becomes a “project problem”, not a management problem.
2️⃣ The project team works in isolation.
➡️ Decisions, risks and successes remain hidden in parallel.
3️⃣ In the end, the proof is missing:
➡️ Did it really solve the target deviation?
A system only works effectively if there is a data source from which everyone works.
🛰️ If everyone sets up their own parallel univerzum with their own figures and projects, chaos ensues.

Companies do not carry out projects to keep themselves busy.
👉 Projects should close deviations sustainably and create targeted improvements.
This is only possible if:
☑️ Problems become visible in the daily meeting and are prioritized or addressed directly.
☑️ Projects that arise are regularly reported back to the management control system.
☑️ One thing is clear: has the project closed the gap or not?
Performance means:
🔹 Existing meetings are used effectively
🔹 Problems are solved in the system and with the system – not around it
🔹 There is clear responsibility for permanently eliminating problems
